  • Healing Herbs: Black Walnut Hull

Posted on December 27th, 2011 How to pass

Our detox products contain many beneficial herbs and vitamins designed to clean your body and help you pass a drug test.  One of these helpful ingredients is the black walnut hull.  The black walnut is also known as the American walnut and can be found all along the eastern seaboard from northern parts of Florida through Ontario, Canada and as far west as Texas and the Dakotas.  It was introduced to Europe in the 17th century and has become a favorite material for woodworking enthusiasts.  Because of its popularity with woodworkers, the black walnut trees are seldom found growing to their potentially mammoth size anymore as they are harvested well before they can achieve their maximum size.

The black walnut has been used medicinally for centuries because it contains a few ingredients that have healing properties.  Three of these components are juglone, tannins, and natural iodine.  Juglone is found throughout all parts of the black walnut tree and is a powerful agent in fighting bacteria, fungus and parasites.  Tannins also are helpful to humans to help fight against bacteria, diarrhea, tumors, ulcers, blood disorders and even some types of cancers.  Iodine is useful to humans as an antiseptic agent and to help produce a thyroid hormone.  Iodine is required in all living species and if there is an inadequate supply of iodine in the system, complications like chronic fatigue, depression and even mental disorders can arise.  This is why table salt is iodized so that people will consume enough and get their recommended daily requirements.  Iodine fights against bacteria and strengthens the body’s immune system.

The black walnut has many other health benefits including helping with the digestion process, promoting regular bowel movements, oxygenating blood to keep the organs healthy, balancing blood sugar and reducing cholesterol levels.  Many herbalists also promote the use of the black walnut for afflictions such as colitis, hemorrhoids, eczema, ringworm, tonsillitis, sore throat, acne and thyroid problems.

  • What can I eat?

Posted on December 26th, 2011 How to pass

When utilizing a detox product to successfully pass a drug test it is very important to pay attention to all small details just to ensure that you do it right. However, sometimes too much detail can be overwhelming.

    -          Hi, I have a quick question for you – what can I eat?

    -          I am sorry, I am afraid I do not understand, sir.

    -          I mean – what can I eat now before I take my detox drink – my test is in the afternoon, and I was wondering if I should not eat anything all day, or is there something that is allowed for me to eat? Someone told me I should not eat anything on the test day, but I am very hungry…

    -          Oh, ok. Well, since you have sometime before the actual test you can have breakfast now, just do not eat anything when you are actually taking a detox product.

    -          Is there a specific diet I should follow? I do not want to screw it up, you know.

    -          Stay away from fried and sugary foods, but other than that there are really no specific restrictions. Food can interfere with the detoxifying process if you had a big meal shortly before consuming a detox drink, but eating well in advance does not matter much, as long as the food does not stay in your stomach for a long time. That is why it is not recommended to eat a big meal close to the test time – it may slow down the detoxifying process and it may take you longer to prepare to submit a sample.

    -          Gotcha, ok, I get it now. Well, thanks a lot! I am going to go eat something!

When preparing for an upcoming drug test and you are not sure about any peculiarities, do not hesitate to ask – there is no detail small enough to disregard as far as the importance of the test results is concerned.

  • History of Drug Testing – Part 2

Posted on December 23rd, 2011 How to pass

While public safety was the forerunning concern over the need for mass drug testing of our military professionals there were other reasons cited by those in power for the desire to put such measures into effect. They believed that men returning from Vietnam (no matter what military branch they belonged in) had become highly confused as to where the lines should lay in regard to morals and ethics and values. Traditional beliefs were questioned on a regular basis by men who were considered to be “shell-shocked” or as we refer to it today Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Those in power believed that it was drug use by soldiers and not what they had seen and experienced during this time of war, which was the cause of the disgruntled attitudes and behaviors that caused so many returning soldiers to not be able to return to normal lives with their friends and families.

It was of course the “confusion of morals and ethics” that was the driving force behind the war on drugs. Working under the belief that drugs were the root of all problems within the home. It was this that brought mandatory drug testing on a mass scale out of the military and into the world of employment. It was believed that drug use of any kind was a direct comment on the decline of ‘traditional values’ in our society. It was believed that it was not just a symptomatic result of the war and the schism created amongst the people of the country because of the war, but that drug use was in fact the direct cause of the dissention towards government by the American Peoples.

  • Helpful Herbs: Black Cohosh Root

Posted on December 22nd, 2011 How to pass

One of the many herbs found in our detox products is called black cohosh root.  Also known as black snakeroot, black bugbane and fairy candle, black cohosh root is native to the eastern part of North America and can be found from Ontario to Georgia.  Native Americans used black cohosh root as a medicine to treat problems such as inflammation, sore throats, kidney problems, gynecological problems, depression, and general pain relief.  The early European settlers continued the use of black cohosh root using the name black snakeroot to treat nervous disorders, rheumatism, sterility, pains for afterbirth and to increase breast milk production.

Today, many herbalists use black cohosh root to treat symptoms relating to menopause and premenstrual discomfort.  Some recent studies have indicated that there may some compounds in black cohosh root that may be beneficial to the treatment of osteoporosis.  There may be some side effects related to the use of black cohosh root.  There have been reports of liver damage to a few individuals who were taking black cohosh root.  However, these may be isolated cases and do not reflect the majority of those who were using black cohosh root as a dietary supplement.

In Australia, any product that contains black cohosh root has a disclaimer that the product may cause liver damage and should be taken only after consulting with a physician, despite the lack of conclusive evidence linking liver damage with the ingestion of black cohosh root.  There have been other side effects associated with the use of black cohosh root including headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, constipation, sweating, diarrhea, low blood pressure and sometimes seizures.  As with any dietary supplement, you should always consult with your physician before using black cohosh root.

  • When you want to eat…

Posted on December 21st, 2011 How to pass

Everyone has something to say, and now there has been a lot of talk how marijuana has negative effect on a human body. Among one of the “side effects” mentioned by people who really do not know much about it – is hunger. To those who know a little more about it – they simply refer to it as “munchies.” What is it? And is it really a side effect? Depends on which side you are on. If you sit on a couch all day smoking pot and gaining weight – sure it is bad for you, but if you are smoking to fight off nausea and get some appetite because you have been throwing up everything you eat in the past week – in that case good old Mary Jane is your best friend and helps to keep you sane and keep the food down.

Marijuana, as any other drug, is considered to have a wide variety of negative side effects on a human body, however, recently there has been an intense argument going on for several years defending the use of medical marijuana. Just like with any other drug – there is no definitely right answer in this situation – there are always both good and bad things.

If you have been negatively affected by “munchies” and due to your body mass cannot get cleaned out before your upcoming drug test – perhaps the best solution to passing a drug test would be the use of synthetic urine. Research all available options in advance in order to ensure the successful test results.

  • History of Drug Testing – Part 1

Posted on December 20th, 2011 How to pass

Drug testing has been happening in the United States for a very long time. Testing urine and blood for diagnostics purposes (in relation to medicine and patients) has been going on for over 100 years. Evidence even suggests that urine and blood samples were taken even thousands of years ago and studied for color and appearance as helpful indicators of disease in diagnostics. But actually testing a sample for the presence of drugs is only just over a century old now.

The beginning of the Drug Testing policies in the United States began in the 1920’s when tests were done on a person’s blood and breath. These were used to help officers identify drunk drivers as this was beginning of the first ‘war on drugs’ and the era of prohibition. But it would be a few decades before actual laboratory testing was performed on a urine sample to determine anything more than basic diagnostics.

However, it was not until returning Veterans from the Vietnam War were subjected to urinalyses that mass drug testing came into being. The original concern behind these tests was that many soldiers who were returning were now addicted to opiates and heroin (as the stereotypical belief of the time was that these drugs were highly prevalent in Vietnam). Because these were the only drugs believed to be used by the soldiers at the time only they were the ones tested for. It was not long before this policy became widespread across all factions of the United States Military.

  • Biotin: A Powerful Agent in Detoxifying Your Body

Posted on December 19th, 2011 How to pass

Biotin is one of the many ingredients found in our detox products.  Also known as Vitamin H, Biotin is necessary for cell growth and is a vital ingredient in maintaining a healthy metabolism.  Biotin aids in the production of fatty acids and helps metabolize fats and amino acids.  It is also credited with helping to maintain a healthy blood sugar level.  Biotin is an integral ingredient in many cosmetics and hair products because it has been found to strengthen hair and nails.

Biotin is produced in intestinal bacteria and is generally produced in amounts greater than the body’s daily requirement.  Biotin is also found in some food sources such as egg yolks, liver, peanuts, and some vegetables.  Biotin levels in alcoholics tend to be much lower than in people who do not suffer from alcohol addiction.  Others who may be subject to lower levels of Biotin are people with epilepsy, burn patients, athletes and the elderly.  Women who are pregnant or who are lactating may experience an increased demand for Biotin. Women who smoke may also experience an increased demand for Biotin.

A Biotin deficiency is very rare since the body can produce more than is actually needed per day however the steady consumption of raw egg whites has proved to be a cause of such a deficiency.  People with a Biotin deficiency often suffer from hair loss, fungal infections, facial rash and abnormal facial fat distribution and an impaired immune e system.

  • Healing Herbs: Barberry Root

Posted on December 14th, 2011 How to pass

Some of our detox products contain an herb called barberry root.  Barberry root or barberry bark has been an important herb for many cultures for many centuries.

In the Middle Ages, Europeans used this herb to treat liver and gallbladder ailments like jaundice and it became known as the jaundice berry.  Russians also used this berry to treat liver and gallbladder disease as well as high blood pressure.  When English settlers brought barberry root to North America, the American Indians found it similar to a plant that they used medicinally called the Oregon Grape.  The Indians soon adopted the barberry plant to treat sore throat, infected wounds, mouth ulcers, and intestinal problems.  The Native American medicine men would pulverize the bark of the plant and use the powder for treatment of the liver.  They were on to something because the barberry plant actually increased the production of bile which aids in the purifying of blood.

There is a compound in barberry root called berberine.  This compound has been shown to kill microorganisms that cause urinary tract infections, dysentery, diarrhea, and wound infections.  Studies have shown that berberine may stimulate the immune system.  In Germany, barberry is an active ingredient in preparations designed to treat eye problems.  The berries obtained from the barberry plant are an excellent source of Vitamin C. Women who are nursing or pregnant should avoid barberry root extract as it may have adverse effects on the fetus.  Some side effects of taking barberry root extract may include depression and lethargy.  As with any dietary supplement, you should consult your physician before taking barberry root extract.
