  • A different kind of problem

Posted on October 25th, 2010 How to pass

It is old news that urine tests are the most common drug tests out there. Many people have already developed sure ways to get through them by now, but for few there are still open questions – what to do and what not to do. With all the information out there it is tough to make a decision – what is right and what is false.

    -         Hi there, I need to know if I can drink a lot of water before my test or not.

    -         No sir, drinking a lot of fluids will dilute your sample and lower your creatine level so that the test will be inconclusive.

    -         Yeah, that’s what I thought, but a buddy of mine says he always drinks a lot of water the night before and it helps him, but I’m not too sure – he hasn’t worked in two years, so I doubt that he has taken any tests recently that he passed, you know what I mean? I do have another question for you though – what if I took whole bunch of creatine pills before the test, will that help?

    -         That will help with creatine level, but not with toxins.

    -         Oh, ok. But all these products – don’t they have creatine in them?

    -         Of course, but only the right amount, so you don’t get sick, but the urine levels will be normal.

    -         What if it’s not enough? Or what if it’s too much – then what?

    -         It will be exactly the right amount – these products are intended to make you pass.

    -         Ok, but what if the test shows too much creatine? I don’t want to seem rude, but I’d like to know all possible outcomes. On my last test they told me I had high creatine in my urine.

    -         I understand. Elevated levels of creatine usually do not bring any suspicion – it may be an indication of very concentrated urine, consumption of red meat or excessive exercise, unless the levels are extremely abnormal.

    -         Ok, but with your detox stuff I shouldn’t worry about anything, right?

    -         That’s right – our products have helped many happy people and are guaranteed by manufacturers.

  • The Liver: Your Body’s Detoxifier

Posted on October 21st, 2010 How to pass

One of the most important functions of a healthy liver is removing waste products from your blood.  Your liver acts like a detoxifier breaking down things like drugs, alcohol, ammonia and other metabolic wastes so that they can be expelled from your body.  The liver acts like a filter that purifies your bloodstream as your blood flows through it removing bacteria, viruses and other parasites. By removing these toxins from the blood

your liver is preventing the toxins from spreading to other parts of your body.  This is an important role in fighting infections throughout your body.  Over time your liver is exposed to so many toxins that it may not function at its full capacity.  Detoxifying your liver can be very helpful to solving some of your health problems.  Unexplained weight gain, dry skin, allergy-like symptoms, hair loss and brittle fingernails can all be signs of   a toxic liver. • Why it does not work?

Posted on October 20th, 2010 How to pass

Home testing strips is probably the best thing that was created since sliced bread – I mean, seriously – you can test yourself at home! And it is so convenient, too – you either know how the official test is going to turn out before you even get there, or you know that all those pills and time staying clean were not spent in vain. It does not happen often, but perhaps it happened to you – the test does not work! There are no lines, no colors whatsoever, no nothing, and you turn to the instructions just to be informed that the test is inconclusive. Before opening a second (or a third) test, let us look into the possible reasons that could have prevented the tester from functioning correctly: One and the same mistake that occurs over and over again is that one not only does not follow the instructions, but does not even read them at all! You get a package, you rush to get the stuff out and run to the bathroom to see how clean you are, but forget to look into the directions printed on the product. Dipping in with the wrong end, peeling off an unnecessary part, taking the entire thing apart instead of comparing it to the picture in the directions, and finally – looking for the reaction lines at the wrong spot! “What if I do not have any lines but the whole thing just turned purple?” Well, how long did you keep the tester in the urine? “It says here five minutes.” No, it might say five seconds, and to read the results in five minutes. “What if I have one line but it is faded? I only dipped it in there for like half a second…” Yeah, you should hold it in there for a bit longer than a second. There will be instructions with every product that you buy; if you misplace them you can always go back to the website where you purchased it from. Always follow the directions, otherwise it might just happen that you have wasted your money.

  • Can Incense Make You Fail a Drug Test?

Posted on October 18th, 2010 How to pass

Recently I received a phone call from a woman who asked if she would fail a drug urine test because of some incense she was burning.  I told her that I didn’t think so because much like second hand smoke she wouldn’t have inhaled much of it and besides there can’t be any THC in the incense or it couldn’t be sold legally in the United States without a prescription.  That is when she told me that the incense she was burning was actually getting her high like marijuana would.  She said the name of it was Mojo Diamond incense.

I did a little research and found out that this product also known as Spice, Black Mamba, Bombay Blue or Bliss can give you a lighter high than marijuana, won’t show up on a drug test and is completely legal but according to health officials may not be completely safe either. It is sold as incense but some people smoke it to get high even though it comes with a label that says “Not For Human Consumption”. This product contains damiana.  Damiana is a shrub mostly found in Mexico, Texas and California.  The herb derived from this plant affects your body’s central nervous system and acts like an antidepressant to ease anxiety, nervousness and mild depression.  It is also used to treat headaches, control bed wetting and even as an aphrodisiac.  The FDA has not evaluated damiana so there is no official data on the risks or advantages of it.  If it is being sold as incense then it could be very dangerous to try and smoke it as you have no idea what other unknown substances it may contain.

  • Concerned about halogens?

Posted on October 15th, 2010 How to pass

We have talked about different adulterants that people use to pass a drug test and discussed what and why you should not try to use them. But how exactly are they detected in a drug test? Let’s talk about halogens, since this element is not often covered under a standard procedure, but still deserves a little research.

Four elements fall into the category of halogens: fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine. All of these have been known to be used to adulterate a urine sample during a drug test. Halogens cannot be found anywhere in nature in its elemental form, but only appear as salts – in minerals, in ocean water and salty lakes, in rock salt, etc. Natural human urine or any other bodily fluid should not contain any halogens, therefore, any presence of any of these elements trigger the signs of an obvious adulteration. Health and Human Services (HHS) include specific obligations in the guidelines for urines tests done in certified labs – so not only it is allowed, but also required by the set of standards. However, not all the labs follow the guidelines of the HHS, and a standard adulteration test does not include the test for halogens. Nonetheless, a risk of adulterating a sample sometimes is not worth taking – with a wide selection of detox products there are better and easier ways to ensure a successful result. Apart from natural body cleansers and flushing products, you can find the “customer’s favorite” – premixed synthetic urine: so instead of looking for something to add into your little cup, just get a whole clean sample!

  • A Quick Review

Posted on October 12th, 2010 How to pass

Sometimes it is hard to find a solution to a problem, and without an advice it can be truly impossible:

    - Hi, is this a detox place? I have a problem! I need to pass a urinalysis drug screening tomorrow and it is vital that I pass! I failed the first one and now I will lose my job if I fail it a second time.

    - Have you used anything to help you pass the first time?

    - Well, I tried… I had this drink that my buddy got for me, but I didn’t like the way it tasted and couldn’t drink it. I think I drank like half of it, but it only made me sick…

    - There are tablets that you can take instead of a drink, which is the same kind of product, but in a solid form instead of a liquid.

    - Oh, cool! So, I can smoke up to the day I take the test and then just take these tablets and be good to go, right?

    - Not exactly: it is recommended that you stop any toxin intake 48-72 hours before you use the product. Now, if you want to be 100% sure you are going to pass the urine test and do not want to stop smoking, your only choice would be the synthetic urine.

    - And I could keep smoking and not worry about failing the test?

    - Yes, that’s right.

    - Does it taste better then the detox drink I had?

    - Oh no, you do not drink the synthetic urine, you heat it up in a microwave and use the included heating pad to keep it warm while you wait for the test, and then just pour it in instead of your own urine.

    - Ok, that sounds pretty easy, but why do I need warm it up in the microwave?

    - When urine leaves you body the average temperature of it is between 94 and 100 degrees and they will check the validity of a sample by measuring the temperature.

    - And this is guaranteed to work for me?

    - The only way this product will not work for you is if you are taking a DOT test – they specifically look for the synthetics in urine; other than that – yes, it has a 100% money back guarantee from by manufacturers.

    - Awesome! That is exactly what I need! You might as well send me two so I have one around just in case.

    - You got it.

    - Phew, thanks again! I can’t tell you what a relief this is.

  • Adulteration tests

Posted on October 7th, 2010 How to pass

With urine drug test being the most common pre-employment or employment test, it is very important to know how to pass one. There are many ways to get the results that you want, but sometimes a chosen path does not turn out to be the right one. For instance, some people prefer flushing, others – substituting, third – adulterating. Is the latter a good idea? Let’s see into the technical details of a standard urine drug test.

Every certified laboratory is required to test each specimen for number of adulterants. Standard pH tests and a test for one or more oxidizing compounds are done to validate a specimen prior to testing it for toxins. The actual term “adulterated specimen” is defined as a “specimen that contains a substance that is not expected to be present in human urine, or contains a substance expected to be present but is at concentration so high that is not consistent with human urine.” People tend to use common household products or commercial chemicals in attempt to defeat a drug test, however, all those non-specialized products that can be added to a sample without lowering the temperature and without changing the color, can be easily detected by the lab.

To prevent an embarrassing situation, simply do not experiment with anything you might find under your sink. There are a number of specialized products that are created solely for the purpose of defeating a test, and also, try the Urine Check 7 strip that will tell you if your sample will pass for such parameters as creatinine, nitrite, glutaraldehyde, pH, specific gravity, bleach and pyridinium chlorochromate.

  • Using Niacin to Pass a Drug Test

Posted on October 5th, 2010 How to pass

A customer recently asked me about taking niacin to pass a drug test. He said he was currently taking niacin for detox and had not smoked for five days. He wanted to know how long it would take if he has been smoking every day before that to clear his system.
I told him it is hard to say exactly when his system would be clear of THC since everyone’s metabolism is different and he did not tell me if he had been a heavy or light smoker and what his body mass was. The THC metabolites are stored in your fat cells, so the heavier a person is the harder it will be to rid yourself of the THC.  Also, if you have been a steady smoker you have probably built up more THC metabolites than if you had been an occasional user.

Niacin is a vitamin also known as Vitamin B3. Niacin is not a drug and is one of the most important of the B vitamins as it is used by the body in more than 50 chemical processes.  The use of niacin has helped in fat metabolism so it can aid in flushing your system of THC, but there are risks involved in taking too much.  Some side effects do occur when taking too much Niacin such as warmth of the skin and flushing along with itching and rashes.  Also gastrointestinal problems like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps may occur. Taking too much can be harmful to your liver function so it will be counterproductive in the long run.  I told him that we offer a few products that may be of help.  First, there are drug test strips that he can use to see if he still had drugs or drug metabolites in his system.  Second, if he wished to completely flush his system safely we offer a 7 day Comprehensive cleansing kit that is a combination of vitamin supplements that would permanently cleanse his system.
Lastly we have a Fast THC Kit for either heavy or light users which would enable him to test clear for a 3 to 5 hour window on the day of his test.  I hope I have cleared up some of his questions about using niacin exclusively to cleanse his system.

  • How do they know?

Posted on October 4th, 2010 How to pass

When talking about drugs of abuse and how to pass a test, it is virtually impossible to cover all of the “frequently asked questions.” There is always an issue raised that had never occurred before; there is always a question that has not been answered yet.

    -         Hi there, I got a quick question for you: I’m currently using certain pills, and some of them are prescribed, and some are not. When they do a drug test, can they see exactly what you are taking? I mean, if they are both opiates, how can they tell what is what?

By prescription medication most people mean opiates – potent drugs that are regularly prescribed to treat moderate or severe pain. The main two sources of opiates are morphine and codeine. Although the intake may be different, all opiates metabolize mainly into these two elements. General immunoassay test is not specific – it reacts to any opiate based compound, but does not differentiate between the sources; that is, your employer would not be able to tell what the exact prescription medication you are taking is. However, there will be a certain distinction between the results of pain pills and heroine. Also, in non-regulated tests, like a specialized opiate panel, metabolites can be traced back to hydrocodone, hydromorphone, oxycodone, etc. Additionally, there are oxycodone-specific immunoassays available.

    -         So, basically, if the drug test is for my employer, I have nothing to worry about, just show them my prescription, right? But if my doctor decides to see what I’m up to – then I have something to worry about.

    -         Yes, you got it!

    -         Thanks a lot!

  • Drug Test Cut Off Levels

Posted on September 30th, 2010 How to pass

When you are asked to take a pre-employment drug screen test, do you really understand just how they work?  You know if you pass or fail, but how do they measure your level of drugs in your system?  Testing laboratories will report a positive or a negative result based on minimum concentrations of drugs or drug metabolites found in the specimen provided.  Detection of drugs or the drug metabolites can be influenced by many different factors. The method by which someone is tested, the frequency of which the drug was used by the person, their metabolism, the type of specimen (blood, hair, urine or saliva), and the how long the drug can stay in your system all contribute to the levels found in the specimen.

Cocaine, ephedrine and amphetamine are some of the stimulants hat has been banned in many countries of the world, not only were they banned in business organizations, they have also been banned in sports and entertainment too. He reasons why these substances are banned is because they cause a number of psychological problems including; anxiety, nausea, depression, increase in appetite, and extreme fatigue, all these psychological problems are seen as agents that limits the final output in such corporations, hey decrease the productivity of man power and cause a company to suffer huge financial loss, but with a drug test, incidences of such problems have tremendously reduce.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA) which is part of The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has established Mandatory Guidelines for Federal Workplace Drug Testing Program which most labs follow.  Most private employers can set their own standards for their tolerance when it comes to workplace drug testing unless they must adhere to Federal regulations like the Department of Transportation’s drug testing rules where employees in certain positions are subject to more stringent guidelines due to the nature of the job and its impact on the employee’s and the general public’s safety.  Drug testing by federal agencies must follow these Mandatory Guidelines for Federal Workplace Drug Testing.

Most private employers, while not required to follow these Federal Guidelines, find it behooves them to do so as it will help them should they find themselves defending their actions in court.

Labs that adhere to the Mandatory Guidelines for Federal Workplace Drug Testing use an initial drug screen followed by a second, confirmatory screen.  If you test below the cut off levels on the first screening the lab can’t report a positive result and then follow with the confirmatory test.  If you test above the cut off levels on the first screening but below the levels on the second test, the lab can’t report it as a positive.

The substances that are typically screened for by most labs are: amphetamines (speed, meth, crank, ecstasy), marijuana (Marijuana, hash), cocaine (coke, crack), Opiates (heroin, morphine, opium, codeine), and Phencyclidine (PCP).

For a URINE analysis the cut-off levels of nanograms per milliliter are as follows:

    Marijuana metabolites 50ng/ml
    Cocaine metabolites 150ng/ml
    Opiate metabolites 2000ng/ml
    Phencyclidine (PCP) 25ng/ml
    Amphetamines 500ng/ml

For a HAIR test the cut-off levels of picograms per milliliter are as follows:

    Marijuana metabolites 1pg/ml
    Cocaine metabolites 300pg/ml
    Opiates 500pg/ml
    Phencyclidine (PCP) 300pg/ml
    Amphetamines 300pg/ml

For SALIVA swab testing the cut-off levels of nanograms per milliliter are as follows:

    Marijuana metabolites 2ng/ml
    Cocaine metabolites 30ng/ml
    Opiate metabolites 30ng/ml
    Phencyclidine (PCP) 50ng/ml
    Amphetamines 50ng/ml
