Most workplace drug testing is simple enough as the cheapest methods are used by employers around the country. Cheap does not mean bad or unreliable, just not as complicated as drug testing done through court or probation. Basically, you will always know when the testing is actually going to happen and have plenty of means to prepare for it.

I used it as directed and got one of those instant drug tests that you can use at home, and for some reason it showed up positive. I am not sure what I did wrong. For how long do those detox drinks stay good?

-          About a year or two, on average. Do you still have that bottle? Can you look if there is an expiration date stamped somewhere?

-          Oh, sure thing! I guess I should have checked before I drank it, huh? Ok… it says it expired four months ago – is that bad?

-          Well, you did not get sick did you?

-          No.

-          I guess it is not that bad then, but that would explain why it did not work for your test. Get another, fresh detox product and use it as directed before your upcoming test. Make sure to stay clean for a few days before your test, too.
