What about my kids pills?
If you have a hyperactive kid, you probably heard about adderall, but did you know that an impressive percent of parents dip in into their child’s medication? Adderall is a central nervous system stimulant that affects chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control. It works by changing the amounts of certain natural substances in the brain. Adderall is mostly prescribed for ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), but can be used to treat other conditions as well, like narcolepsy (a sleep disorder that causes excessive daytime sleepiness and sudden attacks of sleep), depressions, etc. College students may take it to get through tough times in school. Besides treating medical conditions, this drug also improves overall mood, increases alertness and concentration, decreases fatigue and increases libido. So, why should you be concerned about adderall when talking about successfully passing a drug test?
Adderall presents a collection of four amphetamine salts and is a very powerful stimulant, just like cocaine and methamphetamine. Just like most of prescription medications adderall will show up positive on a drug screening. If you have a prescription – that should be sufficient enough not to worry about the test, but if the prescription is for your child – that won’t do. Who would ever think that a drug that is mostly prescribed for kids will fail a drug test? However, it is true, although detection time is only a couple days, depending on intensity and history of use, it should be kept in mind when you are trying to remember all the things you tried last weekend. Any simple detox solution (like a detox drink or capsules) would be a sure way to pass an unexpected drug test.
