They have been doing it for a long time, and it looks like everybody is getting used to the necessity of drug tests, but every once in a while people get frustrated with the notion that “they” need to know everything. Invasion of privacy is a great concern not only for people who have something to hide, but for innocent people as well! The Constitution protects all citizens of United Stated against “unreasonable government searches,” but the employers are protected by special State or Federal laws or union contracts. The main purpose of it all is to insure that employees are drug-free during working hours, but since drugs leave a trace in a body long after their effects are gone, it makes up a problem as far as off-duty usage is concerned. More often it is not impairment at work that can get you in trouble, but traces of drugs from previous use that can be detected during working hours that can get you fired. Make sure to protect yourself and prepare to face a drug test in full gear – get the results that you want and keep your private life private, as it supposed to be.
