Urine Container Drug Test
Urine Container Drug Test.
The urine drug test is the most common of all the drug tests. It is not as fast as the drug test with saliva, but is more accurate than it. For conducting the test, the person undergoing the test is made to pee in a container called as the sampler cup. The sample is then sent to the lab for checking if there are any traces of drugs in it. The urine container for the drug test i.e. the sampler cup has an average shelf life of 12 to 18 months and is usually of around 6.5 ounces. These sampler cups are usually sold in packs.
Because the urine drug test is so common, many techniques have been developed to pass the test even if you consume drugs. Some of these techniques are authentic and based on scientific know how. Some are absolutely ridiculous and a few among these can actually get you killed. An example of one such possibly fatal measure is drinking bleach to pass a urine drug test. Other techniques like natural and synthetic detox, the later under strict medical guidance are more scientific in nature.
Because the person has to retire to a private room / washroom to pee in the sampler cup he / she is alone for a certain duration. This creates the possibility of the person substituting the urine sample with clean urine or tampering with the same by diluting it with water or something else. To prevent this the person is made to change into a hospital gown before retiring to the sampling room. This room is devoid of any water taps. And if the room happens to be a washroom, the water supply to the room is temporarily suspended. Apart from these precautions, the temperature of urine is checked immediately after receiving the sample. If the temperature is not within the range of the body temperature, a sampling is done for the second time – the temperature of a substituted or tampered sample will be different from that of a genuine sample. A better way to pass this test is to abstain from drugs and adopt a healthy lifestyle including exercise and consuming lots of water and a balanced diet.
