You just did some amphetamines and you are jumping out of your skin and you find out that the company you applied to wants you to come in for an interview and they will conduct a pre employment drug test.  Panic sets in! What is the detection time of amphetamines in the urine?  How do I get clean in time?

  On average a single use of amphetamines can be detected in the urine from one to three days. Methamphetamines can be detected in the urine for up to five days.  The cutoff level for concentration amounts of amphetamines in the urine is one thousand nanograms per milliliter. For methamphetamines the cutoff level for concentration amounts in the urine is five hundred nanograms per milliliter.

  The exact time of detection varies with each individual.  Some criteria for the difference in detection time for amphetamines in the urine are the age of the individual, as our metabolism tends to slow with age. The body type of the individual also is a factor as heavier people tend to metabolize substances much slower than smaller individuals.  The amount of amphetamines that the individual has consumed will increase the detection time proportionate to the dosage.

  Amphetamines can test similar to prescription drugs like Adderall or Ritalin so if you are prescribed these drugs then make sure to disclose your prescriptions to the testing facility.  Some cold medicines and antihistamines can also trigger a false positive for amphetamines so disclose consumption of these as well.

• When In Doubt Work Out!

  We are constantly receiving phone calls from people asking the same question: “How long will a certain drug stay in my system? If there was one simple answer for everyone then I would play the lottery and get the winning numbers every time.  The truth is detection times of different drugs vary with the individual.  Let’s take THC for example.  When you smoke marijuana the THC is processed by your body and the metabolites are then stored in your fat cells.  It stands to reason then that the larger the person the more fat cells that person would have so the longer the THC will be present in your system.  Also, the longer you have smoked then the more THC metabolites you have building up in your system.

  Working out will burn more fat cells which is where most drug metabolites are stored. By burning of the fat cells you will lessen the detection time of the drug when taking a drug urine test or saliva test.  Unfortunately, this will do little to help you pass a hair test since the drug metabolite remain in the hair until the hair follicle grows long enough for the toxins to be removed by cutting them out.

  When question about passing a drug test comes up, there is almost always a recommendation to increase water consumption while cleansing out the body. However, not too many people know that too much water is dangerous, and not only for the purposes of dilution.

  -         Hello, I will have a urine drug test coming up and I wanted to ask you a question about detox products. I was doing a little research, and just wanted to make sure that it is safe to take.
