  • Only The Best Ingredients Fibersol-2 Maltodextrin Part 26

Posted on February 17th, 2011 How to pass

Fiber! Fiber! Fiber! All doctors recommend that we include a certain amount of fiber in our diets.  Fiber in our diets is an important factor in preventing certain diseases such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and heart attacks.  Dietary fiber, also known as roughage, consists of any parts of plant foods that our body’s absorb or digest.  Our Premium Detox 7 Day Comprehensive Cleansing Program contains Fibersol-2 (Maltodextrin) which is a type of fiber and this helps the body remove build up in the intestines and colon.  There are two types of fiber, soluble and insoluble.  Insoluble fiber doesn’t dissolve in water and helps with the movement of material through the digestive system.  It also increases stool bulk so it is beneficial for people who suffer from constipation.  Vegetables, wheat bran nuts, and whole wheat flour are good sources of insoluble fiber.  Soluble fiber dissolves in water and forms a gel-like substance that helps maintain glucose levels and lowers blood cholesterol.  Good examples of soluble fiber include oats, apples, beans, carrots, citrus fruits and peas.  Maintaining a good fiber intense diet can help with weight loss and may help reduce the risk of colorectal cancer.

Fibersol-2 has been shown to help maintain good blood glucose levels and insulin levels so that it is a wonderful additive for foods intended for diabetics.  It also is an effective tool for weight control.  Fibersol-2 also reduces the levels of blood triglycerides and serum cholesterol while helping maintain good (HDL) cholesterol levels.  This is beneficial in helping to prevent coronary heart disease.  Fibersol-2 helps maintain a healthy colon by increasing moisture, stool volume and expediting the waste through the intestines.

  • Urine tests vs. Breathalyzer tests

Posted on February 16th, 2011 How to pass

There are few different types of urine drug tests – some are more precise than others – but all of them have one thing in common: a urine sample is tested for the presence of drug metabolites. Seems simple, but the more expensive the test, the more complex the procedure. The most accessible testers are panel tests – a very small amount of urine exposed to a chemically treated paper that changes color if any specific metabolite is present in the sample. Lab tests like EIA (Enzyme Immunoassy), RIA (Radioimmunoassy) and GC/MS (Gas chromatography/ mass spectrometry) are more accurate than panel tests, but also is more expensive. Overall, a urine test is pretty easy to pass as long as you prepare yourself properly for it.

Breathalyzer tests are harder to pass since there is no leeway for altering the test results. Mostly, this kind of testing is used primarily to determine alcohol use. When you drink, alcohol is absorbed through stomach into the blood stream. When you breathe out the lungs exchange carbon dioxide for the oxygen in the blood, so some amount of the consumed alcohol comes out with the exhalation, which makes it very difficult to modify the test results to the desired outcome.

Besides being difficult to beat, breathalyzer test can tell how much and how recent the substance was consumed, whereas urine test cannot indicate the time or frequency of usage. So if you get scheduled for a urine test, do not get bummed out – get ready to beat this thing and carefully choose a detox product best suited for your needs.

  • What’s In My Hair?! Part 5 Ceramide 3

Posted on February 15th, 2011 How to pass

Ceramide 3 is a synthetic chemical formulated to mimic the Ceramides found within skin. The human body produces Ceramides to act as an effective barrier for sensitive and dry skin. Ceramide 3 is a human skin-identical Ceramide which helps repair and protect skin prone to sensitivity or dryness. Because of these qualities, Ceramide 3 is extremely suitable to be used as a long term protectorate to repair extremely sensitive or dry skin.

Ceramides are a kind of lipid found in the skin, which the epidermis actually requires in order to hold on to water, and function correctly. Many medications and toxins can lower the natural level of Ceramides in the skin, leading to dry, itchy skin, which will respond to normal lotions and creams less effectively.

Ceramide 3 being a synthetic produced to duplicate human skin, has the same chemical configuration as the Ceramides you would naturally find occurring in your own epidermis. This is essential to the Ceramide 3 being a good performing chemical in each product it is introduced to. If it did not have the same chemical make-up of the Ceramides that naturally occur in your skin, then your skin wouldn’t be able to reap any of the benefits.

In hair care Ceramide 3 has been shown to help repair and protect any damaged hairs. Because of the toxins being introduced into your hair through drug-use you are damaging the hair itself. Ceramide 3 helps to repair that damage so that when being looked at by a lab, there is even less toxin damage than there naturally would have been.

  • Only The Best Ingredients Creatine Monohydrate Part 25

Posted on February 11th, 2011 How to pass

Creatine Monohydrate is another one of the ingredients in our Premium Detox 7 Day Comprehensive Cleansing Program.  Creatine monohydrate is simply one molecule of creatine and one molecule of water.  When people hear the word creatine they automatically assume that it is some type of illegal steroid used exclusively by body builders to enhance muscle growth.  While it does enhance muscle growth it is not some artificially produced substance made in some lab.  Our bodies produce creatine naturally to supply energy to the muscles.  Over 95% of the creatine in our bodies is stored in the muscle tissue.  Creatine is produced in the liver, kidneys and pancreas and is delivered to the muscles by the bloodstream.  Once in the muscle, creatine is used to regenerate a molecule called adenosine triphosphate, what the muscles use for energy.  Creatine occurs naturally in many foods including salmon, tuna and beef.  The most potent source of creatine is creatine monohydrate because it contains more creatine per weight than any other type.  Because the Premium Detox 7 Day Comprehensive Cleansing Program will help rid your body of harmful toxins, creatine is vital to help accelerate fat loss while maintain lean muscle mass.  Accelerating the fat loss is vital to the detoxification process as the metabolites from various toxins are present in the fat cells.  The creatine hydrates the muscle cells with water while at the same time increases lean muscle mass.  There have been many studies done on the effects of creatine and there have been no harmful toxic side effects shown as long as the recommended daily dosages have not been exceeded and proper hydration procedures are followed.  Having too much creatine in your system can lead to nausea, stomach cramps, flatulence and diarrhea.  This is caused by creatine’s ability to draw large amounts of water into the bodily compartment where the creatine is present. So if there is a large amount of undissolved creatine in the large intestine or stomach the aforementioned side effects will occur.  If you are on medication, you should consult your doctor before taking any creatine supplements.

  • Getting rid of it Part 2

Posted on February 10th, 2011 How to pass

What else will help you to get clean faster? We have already established that body fat is an important factor in the cleansing process. Another vital point – keep your body well-hydrated. Significant part of our bodies consists of fluids, so maintaining high level of fluids intake will keep the body happy. When detoxing or cleansing, it is good to get into the habit of drinking more than usual – drink about a half a gallon more of liquids a day than normal. The more fluids that passes through, the better it is, since more toxin residue will be flushed out of your body. Also, keep in mind that some liquids are better than other: nothing beats water, but if you want to diversify it a little, green or herbal tea will nourish you, cranberry juice or any other fruit juices. Alcohol, including beer, is not something that helps (although it does make you urinate a lot), but in fact it is unfavorable and actually hurts you – not only alcohol dehydrates your body, but also places a bigger load on the kidneys, so less toxins are filtered out. Another thing to stay away from is salt – high salt intake makes your body to retain fluids which is the contrary of what you want to achieve: fluids should get in your body and leave it soon after, thus keeping the flow steady and continue the cleansing process without interruptions.

These are just simple recommendations on how to improve the situation and to complement a cleansing program that you might get solely for the purpose of getting clean.

  • What’s In My Hair?! Part 4 Avocado Oil

Posted on February 9th, 2011 How to pass

Avocado Oil is used in cosmetics most often in hair care because of its great benefits to hair. Avocado Oil is an additive taken from the pulp of the avocado. The uses of Avocado Oil range from helping the hair avoid thinning and falling out, to treating dandruff. The nutrients found in Avocado Oil help especially dry hair, and are essential nutrients to encourage hair growth. The oil also nourishes the hair follicles as well as the scalp to help prevent dryness, essentially acting as a protective agent to lock in moisture.

Because the actual Avocado fruit is so rich in vitamins and minerals to begin with, the effects on the hair and scalp are tremendous. The aroma of Avocado Oil is very much like artichokes and celery, a nutty earthy scent. It is often found in your foods because of the nutritional value it holds for your body. The large number of vitamins and minerals within the oil makes it a healthy alternative to many different cooking oils out there.

As for hair and skin, Avocado Oil is said to be a help with many other things like reducing the look of age spots, and healing scars whilst also moisturizing the outer layers of the skin. The sterolins – or plant steroids – found in the Avocado Oil are what help to give it its superior ability to moisturize skin and hair.

Because this oil has purely esthetic uses (meaning it is for the look and feel of the hair more than anything else) its purpose in the Zydot shampoo is only to make the hair healthy after being treated with chemicals. To help nourish the hair and stop it from suffering any side effects from the chemical treatment.

  • Only the Best Ingredients Vitamin B 12 Part 24

Posted on February 7th, 2011 How to pass

Our Premium Detox 7 Day Comprehensive Cleansing Program is one of the most effective detoxifying products on the market today.  Not only does it contain some herbs that have been used for centuries for healing the body, it also contains some of the most important vitamins that your body requires on a daily basis.  One of these vitamins is the all important Vitamin B 12.  Vitamin B 12, also called cyanocobalamin contains the metal ion cobalt.  Vitamin B 12 primary benefit is to provide the body with energy.  It does this by helping to create healthy red blood cells, maintaining a healthy metabolism and helping with the central nervous system by aiding in the production of neurotransmitters in the brain like serotonin and dopamine.  Because a low level of serotonin causes depression, Vitamin B 12 is recommended for preventing depression. By helping the other B Vitamins to process carbohydrates into glucose, it provides the body with the necessary energy to sustain life.  Vitamin B 12 also increases metabolism so it enables the body to process toxins out of the body sooner.  Animal-based food is an abundant source of Vitamin B-12.  Eggs, meat, dairy and fish provide the body with wonderful sources of Vitamin B 12 which is one reason why many vegetarians and vegans need to take a B 12 supplement in order to optimize their body’s metabolism.  Children and elderly people should also consider adding a B 12 supplement to their diet to ensure that there is no risk of a vitamin deficiency.  It is entirely safe for people to take because it is water-soluble so any excess will be carried out of the body through the urine.  If you lack proper levels of Vitamin B 12 you may suffer some gastrointestinal distress such as diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, flatulence and a burning sensation of the tongue. Other symptoms of a Vitamin B 12 deficiency are weakness, walking and balance problems, confusion and in extreme cases dementia.  A versatile vitamin, B 12 is also essential to good vision because it provides protection to the lens helping to prevent cataracts.  Because Vitamin B12 helps produce melatonin, the hormone that let’s you get a good night sleep, it is also beneficial for people with insomnia.  Some studies have found that Vitamin B 12 can also raise sperm cell counts in men with low levels and also may increase the motility rate. Allergies, asthma, tendonitis, tinnitus, migraine headaches and certain sleep disorders have also been treated using Vitamin B12.

You decided to turn your life around and get clean, but you do not know where to start. So, let us start at the beginning.
Everybody is different, and every body is different as well. Start with small changes in what you eat, drink and do – body’s chemistry is very complicated, but the crux of the matter is that all of us can clean toxins from body cells if we really want to. It is very important to try to remove as much waste from the cells as possible, because it is there where the drug residue is stored, and then it is distributed by your blood everywhere – so not only oxygen and nutrients, but also toxins and impurities get filtered by the kidneys. Once all of bad stuff filtered by the kidneys, it goes out to the bladder. Decreasing body fat little by little helps tremendously by lowering the amounts of toxins stored in the fat cells. The more body fat you have, the longer the toxins will stay with you. Steroids are pretty much the only drug that is not stored in the fat tissues of the body – they remain in the muscle fiber. So, the first step to getting clean is to start with reducing the body fat. You can check with your physician regarding the percentage of the body fat – healthy average range for men is 15-20 percent, for women is 20-25 percent. The higher the numbers, the longer it will take to get completely clean. Simple work-outs, fast walking, a physician-approved diet will help you not only to get in the form, but also start a toxin-free life.

  • What’s In My Hair?! Part 3 Tocopheryl Acetate

Posted on February 3rd, 2011 How to pass

Tocopheryl Acetate – more commonly known as Vitamin E Acetate – is the next ingredient of the Zydot Purifier that we will take a look at. Tocopheryl Acetate is mostly used in skin care products because it helps to provide a protection against the sun, and the harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays the sun gives off.

This form of Vitamin E is a natural moisturizer and skin-conditioner. Often Tocopheryl Acetate is preferred to Regular Vitamin E as it is much less acidic and less likely to cause skin irritation. Again, this is another chemical that the Food and Drug Administration has deemed “Generally Recognized as Safe” for human consumption and use.

Tocopheryl Acetate is a powder that gets added to cosmetics because of its ability to moisturize the skin whilst also protecting it. Vitamin E is a necessary Vitamin to the human body, but when used topically (on the skin) there is not much to know about it. It can often be found in skin creams and lotions because of the research suggesting it helps prevent the aging of skin, and can even help heal skin irritations from minor rashes and burns, but sadly there is not a great deal of research done yet. What is clear about Tocopheryl Acetate in skin care is the fact that is does prevent skin from becoming dry. The benefits to the scalp in this instance are great. As after using Zydot properly you’ll have washed your hair and scalp at least 4 separate times. Being able to keep the scalp moisturized throughout this process can go a very long way in ensuring that the use of this product will not have any long or short term effects on the scalp that can be detrimental.

In hair specifically Tocopheryl Acetate can help heal the hair follicle and protect the hair from loss of moisture, as well as other contaminants. It has also been shown to help prevent hair loss by going to work in the hair follicles and stimulating them.

  • Only the Best Ingredients Riboflavin (Vitamin B 2) Part 23

Posted on February 1st, 2011 How to pass

Our Premium Detox 7 Day Comprehensive Cleansing Program contains a lot of ingredients that help detoxify your body, but one of the most important ingredients is Riboflavin or Vitamin B2.  Vitamin B2 helps promote healthy skin, hair, nails, and eyesight while regulating red blood cell growth and helping to build a strong immune system.  That is a lot of benefit from just one ingredient.  Vitamin B2 enables the other B Vitamins to carry out their mission and without it a host of chemical reactions that keep you alive would fail to take place.  Hence, you would cease to be.  Pretty important Vitamin, wouldn’t you say?  Riboflavin, or Vitamin B2, produces two enzymes that help the body convert fats, carbohydrates and proteins into energy.  These two enzymes (flavin mononucleotide and flavin adenine dinucleotide) work in conjunction with one another to supply the body with the fuel that keeps us alive.  Riboflavin also is a critical component in maintaining and improving memory and critical thinking. One of the best sources of Riboflavin can be found in a glass of milk.  Consuming one quart of milk per day will give you the daily recommended requirement of Vitamin B2.  Your supply of Vitamin B2 is depleted every day through exercise, sweating and urination so do what your mother told you to and drink your milk, or if you can’t then take supplemental doses of Vitamin B2.  People who drink excessively or those who take oral contraceptives should take a Vitamin B2 supplement because these two activities deplete the supply of Riboflavin in the body.  People who are lactose intolerant or diabetic and elderly people who exercise a lot may want to consider taking vitamin B2 supplement because their bodies may not absorb enough riboflavin on a daily basis.
