When passing a test
Passing a drug test is not a daily routine, but a lot of people have to take one more than once in their life time. Some jobs require regular employee drug testing, but for most positions is it a one-time thing you have to do before you get hired, so it is very important that your drug test results come back negative. In certain cases the reading of the test results could be tricky; sometimes it is because of dilution, or certain foods or drinks that were consumed, but more often a false positive drug test reading occurs because of the prescription medication intake. When you do not disclose it on the test, the lab technicians do not know what may be present in the sample. Sometimes such harmless over the counter product as aspirin can cause a false positive drug test result and cause you a big headache. So make sure you list everything that you are taking in the paperwork you fill out prior to the test – of course, if you have the prescription for it. Avoid eating and drinking anything acidic right before the test – this may throw off urine specifications reading, such as creatine level or pH balance. If you are using a detox drink – make sure you are getting a good quality product, and do not forget to check the ingredients list. If you have any health issue that can influence the test outcome, such as conditions causing abnormal specific gravity readings, take time to mention it in the paperwork as well. Passing a drug test is not hard, but to make it easier you need to prepare for it in advance.
