-         I am sorry, sir, but I believe there is no upper cut-off level. If the concentration if the metabolite is above 50ng/ml, the sample will be marked as positive. Some drug tests are more sensitive and the cut-off level is 15ng/ml.

-         I see. So if there is too much of the drug present in the urine sample it will not register as off the charts so the test does not work? Let’s say I smoked a lot a night before the test – and when I say a lot, I mean A LOT – that would not make me pass because it will be above upper cut-off level? I read it on some website, and I figured that would be a good way to fool a test, but I have not heard back from the company for three weeks now, so I am starting to think that they will not hire me after all…

-         The concentration of the drug in the urine cannot be too high since your liver and kidneys can only disperse so much at a time. The fact that you smoked more than usual means that there is a lot of THC in your body, but not necessarily in the urine right away. Besides, I doubt there is a upper level at all – if drug is present in the urine, it will register at the level it is detected.

-         Oh, bummer. I guess I should have know better and went with a regular detox product. I am going to have another test with a different company in a week or so – can you send me a detox drink so I pass it next time?
