Urine Drug Test With Pink Results
Urine test with pink results means that a candidate has tested positive for the methadone drug urine test. A single pink line in the test card means positive, but two pink lines mean that the candidate has tested negative for the drug test. The urine drug test can be carried out any time. The test is done through a cassette, which is sealed in a foiled pouch.
The urine sample of the candidate is collected in a plastic cup. The protective cap on the cup is pulled off so that the absorbent testing strip is revealed. One should be careful that the testing strip should not be touched and the protective cap should not be thrown away. The testing panel is then carefully dipped in the urine sample in such a way that the urine should not be exposed to the plastic case of the test. It takes about 10-15 seconds for the test panel to absorb the urine. The urine is seen to move up the strips.
After 15 seconds, the test panel is removed from the urine sample and the protective cap is put in place. The test panel is put on a flat dry surface. It is then that the test lines start to develop. Medical practitioners can now decipher the drug status of an individual by studying the lines of the urine test. Negative results are displayed at once, but positive results take a bit longer to come out. It is after five minutes of removing the panel completely from the urine sample that the positive test can be read. However, all types of results; be it positive or negative should be read within 10 minutes. If read after that, there are high chances that a false reading may appear.
Now, reading the drug test result is an interesting thing. There are two letters on the drug’s cassette adjacent to the test strip. ‘T’ is the test band, while ‘C’ is the control band. If one wants to be sure, if the test is progressing well, then one has to check the ‘C’ band, i.e. the control band. A pink colored line appears on the strip of the control band. If no such line appears, then one has to understand that the cassette is not working properly and a further test may be needed to be done.
If a second pink colored line appears in the test band ‘T’, however faint it may be, then that is a negative result for the urine test. If after that, no further lines appear in the test band ‘T’, then it is sure that the candidate has tested positive for the drug test. It is best to abstain from any types of drugs to pass a drug test without any hassle.
