Weed Drug Test Facts.
Weed or marijuana is also known as pot and is the most popular drug in the US as also in many other countries. The drug is mild in nature and is especially popular among school and college students. This adds a lethal dimension to the drug – it catches people when they are young. Later on these people will grow into drug addicts who may also move on to more potent drugs like cocaine that can do greater harm to their mind and bodies. Drug Tests were instituted to discourage the widespread practice of drug use. Fear of testing positive or actually testing positive is known to deter drug use by existing and potential users. Drug testing in workplace – public and private, in school and college campuses, before renting rooms and accommodations and in the world of sports.
Here are a few weed drug test facts. The psychoactive substance in weed is THC – tetra hydro cannabinol. It is fat soluble and has a half life period of 1 to 10 days. This is only an approximate figure and actual retention times depend on a host of factors. These include the age, gender, height, weight, size, percentage of body fat and metabolism of the user. Retention time also depends on the frequency of drug use, the amount of drug used in each installment and the duration for which the user has been using the drug. An obese person will have larger retention time than a slim one as THC is fat soluble. A person with a faster metabolism will absorb and eliminate the drug at a greater rate than someone with a slow metabolism. Furthermore a chronic user will have greater retention time than an occasional user.
To pass the THC drug test you need to detoxify your body. For natural detoxification you need to exercise regularly for 15 days before the test. Exercise burns fat that stores THC. Fat burning has to stop 48 hours before the test. For the same duration drink a lot of water and consume a well balanced and healthy diet. Water will flush out the broken toxins through the urine and the diet will keep the body balanced and prevent accumulation of any fresh toxins.
