• Bloody problem

  A customer called one time confused as to why she could have failed her test. She was not a heavy user of THC and purchased some kind of detox drink that she drank a couple hours before her test. She thought because she was not a heavy user and did not smoke for quite some time she would have passed with this drink.

  “After taking my test and looking at my urine I noticed a slight light pinkish color. I just thought that was the detox drink. I gave in my test.  A couple days later I was in pain and could not stop peeing. I went to the doctor and it turned out I had a urinary tract infection. The doctor told me that the pinkish color in my urine was blood. I have been researching this topic and saw that urinary tract infections can cause blood in the urine. Is there anyway I could have failed my test because of this?”

  “Yes. Any kind of blood in the urine can make you fail a test. The detox drink that you had used only worked on your urine and not for your blood. The blood in your urine could have made you fail your test.”

  If you have a similar situation or your period (females), check with a doctor and the lab and tell them your circumstances – they might let you reschedule your test.

• How is that possible?

  Different people have different metabolism, and the time detection of different drugs varies as well. Sometimes the combination of the two does not play to the advantage of an individual.

  - I got a question for you, and I hope you can answer it! I’ve been completely clean for full three month, ok? And I had a hair test last week, and I failed! How is that possible? I haven’t used anything at all, and they only test for three month back, and I don’t understand how I could fail!
  - How long is your hair, and what kind of toxins are we talking about?
  - My hair is down to my shoulders, and I’ve used cocaine and marijuana, and I passed for cocaine, but I failed for pot!
  - Ok, here’s the thing – they do test you back  three months, but it is approximate. If your hair is longer than an inch and a half, they could have tested you for a bit longer then three months. Secondly, marijuana stays in your body for quite some time after you stop using it, while cocaine does not stay for too long. If you stopped smoking exactly three months ago, marijuana was in your system for at least another several weeks, and that got inside of your hair as well.
  - I see…
  - It is safe not to use any detox shampoos only for people who stopped well in advance before the test, for 5-6 month.
  - Yeah, I guess I should’ve used a detox shampoo… Ok, thanks a lot!

• How does that work?

  “Does it work” and “How does it work” – are two most frequently asked questions. The answer for the first one is “Yes,” and the second one requires a little more explanation.

  -         Good afternoon. I got this product and I am reading through the label, and in ingredients it says that there is creatine in this drink. What is it? And how does that help?

  -         When they do a urine drug test, they not only check for toxins, but also for PH level, specific gravity, creatinine level, etc. Creatinine is a measure of kidney functions to determine how dilute a urine sample is. As creatine passes through the body, it is metabolized into creatinine.

  -         I see. So, can I just take creatine supplements? Why do I need to take this drink?

  -         Detox products contain creatine in addition to other vitamins and supplement, a combination of which makes it possible to provide a clean sample on a test.

  -         Aha. So drinking all that water won’t make me fail? What is the acceptable level of creatinine that they need?

  -         Creatinine level has to be below 20 mg/dl for the sample to be considered too diluted. Levels above the 20 mg/dl are considered acceptable.

  We received a phone call from a customer frustrated with the fact that he and his wife were both using marijuana. They both used the same amount and stopped at the same time. He called because he wanted a direct answer.

  “MB Detox, How can I help you?”

  “Hi, my wife and I were both smoking marijuana on a daily basis. We would come home from work and light a joint. We smoked the same amount. About a month ago we got a call that we will both need to be taking a urine test and we have 45 days to take the test. It’s been 33 days and my wife is testing clean but I’m not. Why is this happening?”

  “Well Sir it all depends on your body weight and your metabolism. Do you weigh more then you wife?”

  “Yes, she weighs 150lbs and I weigh about 250lbs.”

  “See there’s a 100lbs difference between the two of you. That might be a main factor in this situation because THC is stored in your fat cells.”

  “That makes sense. So how do I clean myself out? I have about 11 days.”

  The detection time period is different for everyone. One person can get clean in a couple days depending on the drug of choice, while others may take a week or 2 to clean out.   While majority of our customers need help in making a drug test come up negative, it is quite unusual to hear a question about how to make a test positive. But it happens.

  - Hi there! I need to pass a drug test, but I need something to show up on it, and I need something not to show. How do I do that?
  - What toxins are we talking about?
  - I’m a casual smoker, but I also take some prescription medication, and I need that to show.
  - Ok, when is your test? If you stop smoking but keep on taking your medication, it will show on your test. You can a cleansing kit to help your body get rid of THC faster.
  - Yeah, the thing is though; I don’t want to stop smoking. Last time I had a urine test, and I used this drink to make my urine clean, but I took a little bit of a tablet, crushed it and put it in the cup, so I tested positive for meds, but I passed for pot. Now I have a saliva test, I don’t know why they switched it, but I was wondering – can I do the same thing? Do I just suck on a pill before the test?
  - Let me ask you something before I explain. How long did you abstain from marijuana before you used a drink for your urine test?
  - I don’t know, I think I stayed off it for a week or so. But I’ve been taking the detox pills every day; I have to take them every day!
  - Ok, here’s what happened. When you stopped smoking marijuana, you decreased your toxin level and detox drink hid the remains of the toxins in your urine; since you were still taking prescription medication, the level of those was high enough for the drink not to cover it, that’s why you tested positive for it. Adding medication to your urine will not make you test positive – they check for metabolites of the drugs, not the drugs itself, so you would need to process it through you body for them to detect it.
  - Oh, I see… So I just do the same thing here? If I get that detoxifying mouthwash but keep on taking meds, it won’t cover it, right?
  - Yes, you got it! Just make sure to stay clean of THC for at least 48-72 hours.
  - Yeah, that’s no problem, my test is not for another couple days and I already stopped. Thanks a lot!

  Drug tests are set up in a way to see what person have been taking, so it is sensitive to drug metabolites – the by-products that are left in your body after ingesting them. Adding something to the sample in order to test positive simply will not work.

• Potent Pee

  One time a customer was really set on passing a urine test. He was taking a Premium Detox 7 day kit and was only on the 5^th day. He had been drinking a lot of water to try and flush his system quicker. He called us after he got his test results and was pretty upset.

  “MB Detox, How can I help you?”

  “Yes hi, I know I have been calling you quite often lately but I just want to tell you that I failed my test. I do not understand how I could have failed my test because I tested my self 3 times before taking the test.”

  “Well sir, you only completed 3 days of the program and expected to pass your urine test?”

  “I test my self and had 2 pretty dark lines so I was sure I was going to pass.”

  “Ok, let me ask you this. When were you testing yourself at night by any chance?”

  “Yes”

  “Ok and were you drinking a lot of water the whole day?”

  “Yes”

  “And your actual urine test was in the morning?”

  “Yes”

  “And you provide them your first or second sample?”

  “Yes”

  “Well that’s exactly why you failed. You have been testing your self after a whole day of drinking water and urinating. By the time you were testing yourself; your urine was coming up clean. Because you were sleeping the whole night and not flushing the toxins out, the toxins stored up in your urine and you failed your test. If they are letting you retest, continue taking the 7 day kit and drinking a lot of water. Make sure you do not give them you first sample.”

  “Thank You”

  If you are trying to clean your self out and do not have enough time to complete a Premium Detox 7 day kit make sure you test your self in the morning, preferably the first urine of the day. This urine is the most potent and if you pass when testing the first urine, then you should no problem passing your urine drug test.

• How hot is hot enough?

  The first thing they tell you about a urine drug test is that they will check temperature of a sample. In most cases it wouldn’t be a problem, since urine naturally has the same temperature as the body. But sometimes a person cannot take a detox product to clean the urine and chooses to use synthetic urine – a clean sample that does not require abstinence. It seems like an easy way out; however, you need to keep in mind several factors, for example, legal monitoring of a test.

  - Hey, I got this urine from you, and it doesn’t work.
  - What do you mean?
  - Well, it doesn’t give me any temperature. I heated it in the microwave for ten seconds, and then I put the heater on it, and there’s nothing. So I put it in the microwave again, another ten seconds – I don’t see any coloring on it at all.
  - Well, if the temperature too high it would be out of the range and it won’t give you any color. Let it cool off, take the pad off; once the temperature goes down and is in the range between 90 and 100, you’ll see the color indication on the strip, and then you can re-apply the pad to keep it steady.
  - Oh, I see now! I thought it was too hot to be too cold, I mean I thought the strip read it as too cold, but the bottle was pretty hot to handle. It’s not going to spoil it, if I overheated it, is it?
  - No, synthetic urine does not go bad from overheating or freezing.
  - Ok, thanks!

  So that’s that. Sometimes it is hard to keep things simple, but such product as synthetic urine does make you feel a lot more confident about your drug test. Just need to make sure that you use it properly.

• Should i tell them?

  With the recession happening now, everyone is looking for a new or better job. A customer called because he had a dilemma and needed help trying to figure out what he could do to get this job.

  “MB Detox, How can I help you?”

  “Hey, I have some what of a problem. You think you can help?”

  “Tell me what the problem is and I will do my best to help.”

  “I got laid off from my job about 8 months ago. I got offered a really good job and I need to go take a drug test in a week. I got into a car accident years back and got put on pain medication. My psychiatrist also prescribed me adderall. Now my dilemma is whether I should tell them about my prescriptions or should I buy a product to mask everything? They might not want a person working for them who takes Oxycodone and adderall on a daily basis, so I was thinking it will be better just to use a Detox kit. What do you think?”

  “I see your point. It all depends on the job. If you will be operating machinery or driving a vehicle, then yes they may say we don’t need someone who is using drugs, whether you a prescription or not. You can use a Detox kit but only if you are willing to stop using any kind of toxin for at least 48 hours.”

  “Oh really, I didn’t know I would need to stop using. If I stop using I will go through serious withdrawal because I have been taking these medications for years. So there is no way I can be clean for 48 hours.”

  “If you have been using for years then the toxin level is extremely high in your system and you are probably better off just telling them that you have a prescription. Let us know how it goes.”

  The customer called back in 2 weeks and was very happy. Since he had a regular office job he told them about his prescriptions and they accepted him. Just remember with any of the products you need to stay clean for at least 48 hours. The longer you stay clean, the better it will be for you.

• A very gassy situation

  As many times as we have said we have heard it all, someone calls with a new story or problem. Some customers make the most careless decisions based on what they have heard. One time a customer called:

  “Hi, I took a drug test a couple days ago and failed. I knew I had a week before my test to be able to pass it. I was not a heavy smoker of THC but there still would have been traces of it in my system. Now I know that all the detox products are undetectable, but I just did not want to trust them. I read somewhere that you need to ingest a lot of soluble fiber. Is that correct?”

  “Yes, soluble fiber is supposed to clean your system out faster then it would own its own by cleaning out the colon.”

  “I thought to myself this a good idea since I’m not a heavy user and I do not want to use any detox products. I went to the store and bought some fiber full granola bars. I ate one a day for that week and was fine. The morning of my test I decided to eat almost a whole box just for the last little push. Bad idea!! Those bars gave me the WORST gas ever!! I could not stop farting the whole way there, in the waiting room or even when I was taking the test. I felt so embarrassed but I just could not help myself. It was horrible!!”

  I couldn’t help but giggle.

  “Is there anything that will clean me out and not just mask my urine?”

• How do I use it?

  Every detox product comes with directions, but sometimes it gets confusing and it is better to double check before the test day.

  - Hi, I got this stuff, the ***, but I’m not sure what’s the right way to use it?
  - Unfortunately we don’t carry that particular product, and we don’t know what would be the exact directions for using it.
  - Well, what do you normally do with that kind of stuff?
  - I can only tell you how to use the products that we carry, but I don’t want to give you false information because different products require different type of preparation, and what is right for one, might be incorrect for another. I’d rather give no information, than give wrong information, you know?
  - Ok. Well, do you know if it works?
  - Again, I don’t know anything about it and it would be wrong of me to speculate on it.

  For as much as we want to help our customers, it is impossible to know about everything that’s out there. There are plenty of products that are advertizes as “detox” product, but that does not necessarily mean that it helps to pass a drug test – many products are created as a body cleanser, weight burner, etc, which do clean the body, but not in the way you might need it to be cleansed. We can help you choose a right detox product for any specific situation, for any specific drug test, but we can’t know how something else works if we have never heard of it and didn’t have any experience with it.
