Your rights as an employee
I was just reading and article the other day in a news paper about people complaining about workplace drug testing and sporadic drug testing at the place of employment. Well there are many reasons for this. First reason usually is OSHA has brought to the company’s attention that work related injuries have been high lately with the company and when the Government requests a company to do something they better do it so they mandate the business to do drug testing. Second reasoning is anyone you work with could tell your boss that you have been acting strange so there is another reason for a drug test.
There are many more reasons employers can test at any time. Most of this information is found in your companies Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) book that you should get the date of hire because you sign a waiver stating you read and agreed to it.
