COMPANY DRUG TESTING POLICY:
According to the companies and with permission from the law, a job applicant may be asked to donate a sample as part of the employment hiring procedure. Employees working in a company may be asked to undergo a drug and/or alcohol test prior to accepting a promotion, in case of on-the-job accident, and at any time as a continuing condition of employment.
TYPES OF EMPLOYEE DRUG TESTING
1. Pre-employment drug testing: All the applicants who pass an interview and are offered a job by the company will be tested for the use of drugs as a part of hiring process.
2. Random drug testing: Some companies may randomly call an employee for a drug test so as to keep an eye on them.
3. For cause drug test: Employees will have to donate a sample if the company believes that the respective employee is under the influence of drugs on job, if an unexcused absence or lateness is an issue or if the performance is supposed to be impacted because of drugs.
4. Post employment drug testing: Any employee involved in on-the-job accident will be asked for a drug test. One needs to pass a drug test so as to keep going in the company.
